At Ginger Paws, our ultimate goal is to provide you with a forever companion that is healthy, has a stable temperament, and is well rounded. A Goldendoodle full of love to share with you & your family.
Our Dams & Sires have been genetically health tested for over 185 health conditions, OFA certified, and veterinarian cleared prior to breeding.
Our puppies go through an Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) & Early Scent Introduction (ESI) beginning at 3 days old. For the first couple of weeks puppies are unable to hear and their eyes are closed. ENS introduces them to tactile stimulation which benefits in neurological growth and development.
Documented benefits include:
(The U.S. Military in their canine program developed ENS to improve the performance of dogs used for military purposes. Based on years of research, the military learned that early neurological stimulation exercises could have important and lasting effects. Their studies confirmed that there are specific time periods early in life when neurological stimulation has optimum results. The first period involves a window of time that begins at the third day of life and lasts until the sixteenth day. It is believed that because this interval of time is a period of rapid neurological growth and development, and therefore is of great importance to the individual.)
ESI introduces a new scent each day. Some of our litters are also Diabetic Scent Imprinted. A dog's scent ability is a strong characteristic that is required for the dog to have for companionship, therapy and early service dog training.
Puppy Massage's are given daily to expose them to various types of human touch and handling. Puppies are also exposed to regular grooming and nail trimming. We want our puppies to learn the importance of positive human interactions & relationships.
Advanced Puppy Curriculum and Socialization
Our puppies are introduced daily to different sounds, smells, textures and various stimuli. We strive to raise puppies that are well adjusted and exposed to a multitude of stimuli and situations.
Following the developmental stages of the puppies, we work with them daily to provide mental and physical challenges. From a new toy to an obstacle course, they will begin developing problem solving skills and building confidence. This plays a vital role in the development of nerve strength (startle-recovery response), intelligence and positive association to learning & training.
Socialization is also a key component to our program. Our puppies are "loved on" by people of all ages, sexs and backgrounds. The more experiences a puppy has during critical socialization periods, the less bothered the puppy will be throughout life when confronted by new objects, animals, and people.
Puppy Evaluation and Aptitude Test
At 7 weeks old we perform puppy evaluations/aptitude testing to help determine the best companion for your lifestyle and needs. New research indicates we cannot truly evaluate a puppy's temperament until that time. Helping you find your perfect forever friend is our goal.
Our puppies are raised with a combination of curriculum from Badass/Empowered Breeder, Puppy Culture and Avidog programs. We are continuously educating ourselves so we can raise amazing, socialized, confident, and well-rounded puppies.
Selection Process
Our selection process does not take place until 7 weeks, after evaluations. We want to provide you with results of the puppy evaluations before you choose your forever friend. Choosing a puppy with the best temperament to match your families needs and lifestyle is an important factor in a successful lifetime match.
